Wishing health to all Ukrainians!
I just held a Security Council meeting.
The issues are clear. Frontline defense and our active actions, ensuring our soldiers with weapons and ammunition, equipment.
Air defense and protection against terrorism. Throughout the day, I receive reports on the situation in Dnipro and the elimination of consequences from another strike. This is pure savagery: a Russian missile, ballistic missiles — targeting a hospital and a veterinary clinic. Absolutely innocent people.
As of now, two people have died as a result of the attack. My condolences to their loved ones... The debris removal has not yet been completed. Over 30 people were injured, including two children.
We will do everything possible and impossible to speed up the supply of more and better air defense systems to Ukraine — this is literally a daily issue for working with partners.
This week we have significant progress regarding modern aviation for Ukraine, which will become a key component of our aerial defense. We are moving towards modernizing our defenses faster than could be predicted half a year ago.
General Syrskyi made an important report at the Security Council about relevant directions in Donbas. Our soldiers are doing incredible things there, and every position repelled from occupiers, every height occupied by our forces — this is new and new arguments for the world that Ukraine can win. Thank you to each soldier! "Tavria," "Odessa," "North," defense of Kharkiv region — attention to all directions. Equipping offensive brigades with equipment.
The Minister of Defense reported to me about the results of the "Ramstein" meeting — good results.
I also held a meeting today with internationalists regarding our movement towards NATO — more conceptual. We will use and will use every opportunity this month, next month, generally this year to fill our relations with the Alliance with real political content.
There was an important conversation with Senator Graham — he is one of the most influential and experienced senators in the US. We discussed the situation in our defense today, our needs for the near future. I thank you for understanding Ukraine!
We are preparing several international appeals to increase support for our country and our fight for freedom — support both within the circle of our traditional allies and partners, as well as in countries of the Global South.
I held a meeting regarding new sanctions — against those who contribute to Russian aggression.
And one more thing.
Today, Georgia celebrates Independence Day. I congratulate the entire people of Georgia and wish to be together with us and all other European peoples in a free, peaceful, and united European family! I wish this to all of Georgia — and those parts of your country that are still under Russian occupation. Still! Georgia is one of the ancient and respected historical forces, and this force cannot be overcome, I am convinced of this. The occupier is losing. გაუმარჯოს თავისუფალ საქართველოს!
Glory to Ukraine!»
