The Spanish "Palmes" won the Champions League of Futsal for the first time in a penalty shootout against the Portuguese "Sporting" in their home final.

The final of the fourth edition of the Champions League of Futsal season 2022/2023 took place in the Spanish city of Palma. On May 5, in the semi-finals, the Portuguese "Sporting" defeated the Belgian "Sporting-Standard Liège" (7:1), while the hosts, the Spanish "Palmes," overcame the Portuguese "Benfica" (4:3).

Today's match for third place saw the confrontation between "Benfica" and "Sporting-Standard Liège." The stronger team turned out to be the Portuguese side — 4:3.

Today's final was a debut for "Palmes," while "Sporting" reached this decisive stage for the eighth time (and fifth in the last seven editions). The match ended in a draw after regular time — 1:1, with no goals scored during extra time. In the penalty shootout, the hosts emerged victorious — 5:3. Thus, "Palmes" became the first champion of the Champions League of Futsal in its history, while "Sporting" lost their second final in a row.

It is worth noting that a Ukrainian representative, "Hurricane," also participated in the tournament. The Ivano-Frankivsk team finished their competition at the elite round stage, placing second in Group A.
