Valery Palamaruk's wards began their performance in group A5, which is hosted by Denmark, with a loss to Sweden (0:5). The blue-and-yellow team then met the hosts in the city of Kegel.

Unfortunately, our girls conceded as early as the 9th minute and added three more before halftime. In the second half, the Danish side increased their lead by scoring a fifth goal. Near the end of the match, Ukraine finally broke the deadlock — Serbuk took advantage of Dub's pass. Interestingly, both players had come on as substitutes just two minutes earlier. So in summary, we have a loss — 1:5, and unfortunately, Ukraine's team has lost its place in League A.

Now the team under Valery Palamaruk awaits their final game against Iceland, which will take place on April 11 (kickoff at 3:30 PM Kyiv time).

In League A, seven groups feature 28 teams in total. Among them are seven national teams that qualified from the first round of League B. The seven group winners and one runner-up (if Belgium finishes second) will earn spots at the final stage, which will take place from July 18 to 30 in Belgium. Teams finishing fourth in their groups will start the 2023/2024 season in League B.

Teams in League B, including those relegated after the autumn round of League A, compete in seven groups (three with four participants and four with three) for spots back into League A's first round next year.

As a reminder, Ukraine's youth women's team secured third place in their group during the first round and retained their spot in League A.
