President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, speaking about a new level of modern military technology that our country may receive from partners and about the growing resolve of the world to overcome Russian aggression.
"I wish health to all dear Ukrainians!
Today is a new stage in our diplomatic marathon. Four more talks with European leaders: with the President of the European Council, with the Prime Minister of Belgium, the President of Estonia and the Prime Minister of Ireland.
I informed them about the situation on the battlefield — about the difficult situation in Donetsk, about constant Russian assaults and the fact that Russia does not care about its own people, does not spare locals and stops at nothing when it comes to criminal activity.
To this, we can — and must! — counter only with a new level of modern military technology that Ukraine may receive from partners. I thank all leaders who are helping us, for understanding that now is the time for new strong decisions, for new strong support.
The free world has everything it needs to stop Russian aggression and bring down the state-terrorist to a historic defeat. And this is important not only for us. It's important for global democracy, for all those who value freedom. Especially now when Russia is still gathering forces for another escalation.
Together with partners we are doing — and will do! — everything so that already today it becomes clear to the Russian people: no escalation from them will help them. The defeat of Russian aggression must remain inevitable despite all those and whatever Russia tries to throw into battle.
I thank Mr President of the European Council for understanding how important it is to maintain support for Ukraine. In this standoff, where Russia attempts to exhaust us all — Ukrainians, Europeans, other partners — there must be clarity in signals. Signals that we will go through the entire path to defeat Russian terror. We will do so together and with stability in Ukraine — financial and social. And that's why financial support was one of the main topics of my talks with Charles Michel as well as — weapons and further European integration of Ukraine.
I thank the Prime Minister of Belgium for supporting our diplomatic efforts, especially our peace formula, all its key elements: restoring security, restoring territorial integrity, restoring justice.
I am confident that Belgian leadership will help us achieve a just peace. And I thank them for their readiness to move closer to peace by increasing military support for our country. The already provided Belgian defense aid has significantly strengthened our state and we agreed today that our teams would work on new supplies.
I thank the President of Estonia and all Estonians for new decisions to strengthen our protection. We also discussed with Mr President our further steps in European and Euro-Atlantic integration. I thank Estonia for its very strong representation of Ukraine's interests in Europe. Even when someone doubts, Estonia finds arguments to support Ukraine and to increase sanctions pressure on Russia.
I thank the new Prime Minister of Ireland for his readiness to continue Ireland’s comprehensive support for Ukraine. We agreed on a powerful energy support. And I thanked Ireland for freezing Russian assets — we will work together so that these funds go towards rebuilding Ukraine.
Overall, since my visit to Washington, I have already held nearly thirty talks with leaders and representatives of partner countries. And it is literally felt every day how the resolve of the world to overcome Russian aggression is growing more and more.
I thank everyone who helps us defend Ukraine and freedom!
Thank you, all those fighting for independence!
Today I want to especially highlight the fighters of the 46th Separate Airborne Brigade for their bravery and steadfastness in defending Soledar. Thank you, soldiers!
I thank everyone who works on strengthening Ukraine!
And one more thing.
Based on materials prepared by the Security Service of Ukraine and the State Migration Service of Ukraine, in accordance with our country's Constitution, I signed a decision to revoke citizenship from four individuals: Andriy Leonidovych Derkach, Taras Romanovich Kozak, Renat Raveliyevich Kuzmin and Viktor Volodymyrovych Medvedchuk.
If elected representatives choose to serve not the people of Ukraine but killers who came into Ukraine, then our actions will be appropriate.
And these are not the last such decisions. The services are working.
Glory to Ukraine!"
