President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, speaking about the mobilization of civilized nations for life and, accordingly, the defeat of Russia and another confession by the state-terrorist.

"I wish you good health, dear Ukrainians!

Just spoke with Canada's Prime Minister, and this is my fourth international call today. The Prime Ministers of the Netherlands, Britain, Norway, and now Justin Trudeau.

We started the year immediately with what Ukraine needs most right now — ahead of those new mobilization processes being prepared by the state-terrorist. Right now — this is the moment when we must strengthen our defense together with partners.

We do not doubt that today's rulers of Russia will throw everything they have and everyone they can gather to try to turn the tide in the war and at least delay their defeat.

We must thwart this Russian scenario. We are preparing for it. The terrorists must lose. Any attempt by them to launch a new offensive must fail. This will be the final defeat of the state-terrorist. I thank all partners who understand this.

Russia mobilizes those whom it wants to throw to their deaths, we are mobilizing civilized nations for life.

Thank you Canada for your unwavering defense, sanctions and financial support. Discussed today with Prime Minister Trudeau how we can further increase pressure on Russia. It is felt that Canada's help in our defense this year will maintain its strength.

Thank you Norway for very strong decisions already taken and those being prepared. This includes military support — Norway's role could become truly historic in defending Europe if we implement everything we are talking about now. It also concerns support for our energy system. Specifically, I thank Norway for its readiness to help ensure Ukraine has the necessary gas supply this winter.

Thank you Britain for very concrete agreements reached, especially in the defense sphere. Today in my conversation with Prime Minister Sunak, I felt that we share an understanding of the importance and prospects of this year — what can be achieved now to gain a decisive advantage without giving Russia room to maneuver on any front.

Thank you The Netherlands for your shared understanding of the justice of how this war must end. Today I informed Mr Prime Minister Rutte about the enemy's upcoming calculations, what Russia is preparing for winter months and into spring. I am confident that Ukraine will be heard in Europe.

And every day I will continue such diplomatic activity — both formal and informal, public and private.

I held another meeting of the General Staff today morning. It lasted a long time. There were reports from the Chief Commander about the operational situation on the front, and from the head of intelligence — what to expect from the enemy in the coming weeks and months. We are very detailedly defining Ukraine's needs for defense and energy, and working to meet each need, especially with partners.

And one more thing.

Yesterday Russian terrorists destroyed an ice rink in Druzhkivka, Donetsk region. With a rocket.

This ice rink — "Altair" — began operating even before the war when Donbas had normal life before Russia's arrival. Children trained there. A children's sports school operated. Hockey matches took place. People practiced sports, celebrated and simply enjoyed life. Kramatorsk, Sloviansk, Kostiantynivka, Bakhmut, Pokrovsk, Donetsk, Toretsk and other cities and villages of Donbas — everyone knew about this rink and many had been there. Last year it was used for collecting and distributing humanitarian aid.

A Russian rocket against "Altair" in Druzhkivka is another confession by the state-terrorist. A confession of what they brought to Donbas and that we will definitely drive them out from there. Death will not prevail in Donbas, and we must do everything to kick their tricolor out of Donbas and other lands of Ukraine.

I thank everyone who is fighting and working for our victory!

I thank everyone who helps protect life!

Glory to Ukraine!"
