"Wishing health to all Ukrainians!"
Throughout the day, energy workers have been working tirelessly to restore normal technical capabilities for electricity supply. As a result, there are significantly fewer emergency disconnections today. By evening, stabilization hourly schedules were in effect in most regions where outages continue, with emergency disconnections mainly occurring in Odessa and Kyiv.
A difficult situation with energy supply remains in 17 regions and the capital. Kyiv region and Kyiv are particularly hard hit, followed by Odessa, Vinnytsia, and Ternopil...
Today in Kherson, special points called "Resilience Points" were opened. Two so far; more to come. While the electricity is being restored in the city, people can charge their phones, warm up, have tea, and receive assistance. Communication has been set up there, including Starlink.
We know how difficult it is for people because occupiers destroyed everything before fleeing. But we will connect everything back and restore it all.
Today in Kyiv, Vice President of the European Commission Dombrovskis was present. We discussed energy issues with him specifically. Also, we thoroughly talked about financial cooperation between Ukraine and the EU, our country's funding needs until the end of this year and next year. We expect two tranches of macro-financial assistance this year: 2.5 billion euros in November and 0.5 billion euros at the beginning of December. We also discussed new sanctions against Russia that may be introduced at the European level.
Today I spoke with student communities from Ireland—a country that supports us very principledly. Although it is neutral militarily, Ireland strongly defends European values and helps us politically and humanitarianly.
I addressed Irish people with two requests. First—promoting the need to strengthen sanctions against Russia at a pan-European level. Second—helping us spread the truth about events in Ukraine and Russian terror.
Also, I addressed participants of a security forum in Halifax, Canada—one of the world's major security forums. Once again, I presented Ukraine’s peace formula and invited Canada and other partners to choose a component of the peace formula where they can demonstrate leadership most effectively.
This is precisely what makes sense when we present our proposals for restoring peace. We break them down into elements—the components that make up Russian aggression—and work on eliminating each one, thereby weakening the aggressor.
I receive very positive feedback around the world every day about this approach—leading figures support Ukrainian constructiveness. And I believe we will succeed in implementing our peace formula.
Intense military operations continue in Donetsk, with no easing of combat or lulls. Over 100 Russian attacks were repelled yesterday alone in the Donetsk region. All soldiers holding positions on the Donbas front are true heroes.
Today I want to especially highlight border guards from Kharkiv and Sumy regions who are currently operating in Donetsk. Their mine artillery calculations greatly help, not allowing occupiers any peace. Well done, guys! Thank you!
Also, thank you to the 4th Operational Brigade of the National Guard defending Ukraine on the Bakhmut axis. A sensible initiative and steadfastness are two things that ensure extremely beneficial results.
We do not yield anywhere on the front lines. We respond everywhere and hold our positions everywhere. On designated sectors, we prepare for future successes.
Today I spoke with Turkish President Erdogan. Thanked him for efforts to extend our export grain initiative. Also discussed details of our new humanitarian initiative Grain from Ukraine. Hope Turkey will join its implementation. Of course, security cooperation and the energy situation were also addressed.
Tomorrow we have a very active day ahead, not a weekend at all. We expect news and opportunities for Ukraine. And already preparing ground for them.
Today I want to say one more thing—to greet. Greetings to all sergeants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on their professional day. Many warm words have been said today both in the army and in society.
Sergeants are truly those people who ensure real unity and mutual understanding between commanders and soldiers. The sergeant corps is a true backbone of the army, and I thank all our sergeants who fully live up to these words.
Thank you each and every one serving in our defense forces!
Thank you everyone who has made Ukraine's defense part of their personal destiny!
Glory to our heroes!
Eternal memory and honor to those who gave their lives for the freedom of Ukrainians!
Glory to Ukraine!"
