Wishing health to all Ukrainians!
Today was a long and difficult day. And now, in the evening, it already seems like the events of morning were at least yesterday or even the day before...
Summit in Indonesia. Participated in today's work with leaders.
Then — another meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Headquarters, very detailed. The situation on the front lines. Also, military representatives presented all available data regarding the missile strike on Polish territory. Everyone responsible for mitigating the consequences of Russian missile strikes on Ukraine reported on recovery efforts.
Recovery does not stop for a moment.
In 18 regions and in Kyiv, emergency and stabilization power outages are ongoing. This affects millions of consumers. We are doing everything to restore electricity — both generation and supply.
Another meeting with the "Ramstein" defense framework took place. The key issue — strengthening our air and missile defenses.
I held talks with the World Bank's vice president who oversees our region. We discussed projects for restoring our infrastructure and social facilities, as well as the work of the Fund for rebuilding our country.
The total amount of projects we talked about today is in billions of dollars. This is what needs to be rebuilt now to ensure normal living conditions for people.
There were reports on the liberation of territories in Kherson Oblast — we are doing everything possible to restore electricity, water supply, communication, financial and social services, and normal healthcare as soon as possible.
In Kherson, pharmacies have finally reopened, postal service is operational again, banks are working, people are getting internet access. There are already 30 humanitarian aid distribution points.
Over 20 deoccupied settlements in Kherson Oblast have had electricity restored.
The same goes for Mykolaiv Oblast — we are restoring everything necessary for normal life.
We are working to restore water supply in Mykolaiv. Pension payments have started in Snizhne.
And I would like to thank everyone involved in the recovery efforts, especially our sappers and rescuers. Thanks to their work, others can safely carry out their duties.
Once again for those on deoccupied territories — please be extremely careful!
Russia wants to kill even after fleeing from our land. So you need to be very cautious.
If you see any suspicious objects, inform the rescuers and police immediately. If a building has not yet been checked by sappers, please do not enter it on your own. If a road has not yet been inspected, please avoid it.
Reports from Donetsk Oblast — no changes. Intense battles continue in the same points as before. We hold our positions despite dozens of attacks.
Of course, there was a lot of international communication today. Not everything can be talked about right now. We are defending Ukraine's interests as always.
Today is the professional day for thousands of our people who perform one of the most important jobs. And this is not just informing people.
Radio, television and communication workers' day — it is about those who strengthen democracy always. Who integrate society informationally, emotionally and politically. Who unite our interests, our pain and joys, our hopes and aspirations, our problems.
The stronger this sphere in a country, the stronger its democracy there.
I sincerely congratulate everyone working in this field — each one of you.
Those who are doing marathon broadcasts and those working on other information fronts. And presenters, reporters whom we see and hear, and studio workers, producers, editorial staff whom society usually does not see or hear but without whom there would be no such field at all. Thank you all for your work for Ukrainians!
Today was quite a long interview, I also held an "off-the-record" session with journalists — specifically for radio and television workers.
And the day is not over yet...
— Another meeting of the UN Security Council regarding the new wave of Russian missile terror. We are following statements, working with partners, defending Ukrainian interests.
Of course, one of the main issues at the UNSC — the situation in Poland, clarifying all circumstances of how Russian aggression crossed the Polish border.
Ukraine's position is very transparent: we want to establish all details, every fact.
That is why we need our experts to join the work of the international investigation and for us to have access to all available data from partners and to the site of the explosion.
All our information — in full access, we provided it to partners starting from midnight, from those first hours when the world began to understand what happened.
I spoke with President Duda late at night and expressed my condolences — Russian aggression took two lives of Polish citizens.
And I would like us all now together to observe a moment of silence in memory of everyone whose life was taken by this Russian war.
Citizens of Ukraine, citizens of Poland...
