Note to your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on November 16, 2022 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The two hundred sixty-sixth day of Russia's large-scale invasion has begun.

The enemy is trying to halt the actions of the Defense Forces on certain fronts and continues to fortify defensive lines on the left bank of the Dnipro River. At the same time, it does not cease offensive operations on the Bakhmutsky, Avdiivsky, and Novopavlovsky directions.

Over the past day, Ukrainian soldiers repelled attacks by Russian occupiers in the areas of Bilohorivka, Kurdyumivka, Novokalynove, Vesele, Avdiivka, Perevalsk, Vodyane, Novomykhailivka, and Veremivka in the Donetsk region.

Over the past day, the Russian Federation carried out massive missile strikes on military and civilian infrastructure targets in Ukraine. Civilian homes and critical infrastructure objects in Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, Poltava, Lviv, Khmelnytskyi, and other regions of our country were hit.

The enemy launched more than 90 X-101 and "Kalibr" cruise missiles and over ten attack drones. According to updated information, seventy-seven cruise missiles, ten Iranian Shahed-136 attack drones, and one Orion drone destroyed units of the Defense Forces. Additional information is being verified.

Moreover, the enemy does not cease shelling our military positions and populated areas along the line of contact. Thus, over the past day, occupiers carried out 43 air strikes and conducted more than forty artillery attacks with multiple rocket launchers.

On the Volynsky and Polissky directions, there are no significant changes in the situation.

On other fronts, the enemy carried out shelling:

on the Northern direction — with artillery of various types on the areas of populated places Krasnopillya, Rizhivka, Kindratiivka and Slavgorod in the Sumy region;

on the Slobozhansky direction — with mortars, field artillery and multiple rocket launchers on the areas of populated places Vovchansk, Kamianka, Starytsia, Strilecha, Hlibokove, Terneva, Kozatsa Lopan, and Hopivka;

on the Kupyansky and Lyman directions — with tanks and artillery of various calibers on the areas of populated places Berestove, Novoselyvskane, Stehlmykhivka, Nevske, Terne, Ploschanka, Kyslivka, Makieyivka, Zaryche, Bilohorivka, and Spire;

on the Bakhmutsky direction — with tanks and all types of artillery on the areas of populated places Soltar, Andriyivka, Bakhmut, Bakhmutskane, Kurdyumivka, Ozaryanivka, Zelenopillya, Yakovlivka, New York, and Opitne;

on the Avdiivsky direction — with tanks, mortars, field artillery and multiple rocket launchers on the areas of populated places Avdiivka, Vodyane, Mariinka, Nevelske, Novomykhailivka, Novokalynove;

on the Novopavlovsky direction — with tanks and artillery of various types on the areas of populated places Bogoyavlennya, Velyka Novosylikha, Veremivka, Ugledar, Pavlivka, Prechystivka;

on the Zaporizhzhia direction — with tanks and artillery on the areas of populated places Zaliznyane, Shcherbaky, Temriyvka, Stepanohirskyi, Bihor’ya, Dorozhnyanka, Maliivka, Olhyvske, Novopil, Hulyaypole;

on the Kherson direction — with all types of artillery on the areas of Illinychi, Dudchyany, Kachkarivky and Pridniprovy.

Due to significant losses during combat operations in temporarily occupied territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, cases of desertion have increased among units of occupation forces, and their morale has significantly deteriorated. Thus, after battles near the populated place of Mayorivka, the 1st Horlivsky territorial battalion lost its combat readiness. Losses amounted to over fifty percent in casualties and wounded, with a poor psychological state among servicemen. The enemy command disbanded this unit. Remaining personnel were distributed among other military units.

The aviation of the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out fourteen strikes against the enemy over the past day. Eleven areas of concentration of manpower, weapons and military equipment, as well as three positions of enemy air defense missile systems were hit.

Over the past day, soldiers of Ukraine's rocket forces and artillery struck three areas of concentration of manpower, weapons and military equipment, a radio-electronic combat station, and an ammunition depot of occupiers.
