To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on November 1, 2022 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The two hundred and fifty-first day of heroic resistance of the Ukrainian nation against the Russian large-scale invasion has begun.

The enemy is attempting to hold temporarily occupied territories, concentrating efforts on restraining Ukrainian defense forces at certain sectors, and does not cease offensive actions along the Bakhmut and Avdiivka axes.

The adversary continues shelling units of defensive forces along the line of contact, carries out fortification construction on certain sectors, and conducts aerial reconnaissance. It strikes critical infrastructure and civilian housing, violating international humanitarian law, laws, and customs of war.

During the past day, the enemy delivered 60 missile and 15 aviation strikes, carried out over 45 shelling operations with multiple rocket launchers.

Areas in more than 50 populated places were hit by the enemy's attacks, including Siversk, Vuhledar, Yakovlivka, Vesela of Donetsk Oblast.

On the Volyn and Polesie axes, the situation remains unchanged. The Republic of Belarus supports Russian Federation’s military aggression against Ukraine. Russia continues to transfer separate units onto the territory of the Republic of Belarus. There is a threat of missile strikes and the use of attack drones from the territory of the Republic of Belarus.

On other axes, the enemy carried out shelling:

on the Sloviansk axis — with tanks, mortars, artillery and rocket launchers in the areas of populated places Vylhuvatka, Voivchan, Hatiche, Strilecha, and Veterinarne;

on the Kupyansk axis — with mortars, artillery and rocket launchers in the areas of populated places Kucherivka, Steilmahyvka, Myasozharyvka, Petro-Pavlivka;

on the Lyman axis — with various types of artillery fire in the areas of populated places Nevske, Bihorivka, Rozdolivka, Spirene, Hryhorivka and Bereste;

on the Bakhmut axis — with tanks, mortars, artillery and rocket launchers in the areas of populated places Zelenopillya, Klyshyivka, Bakhmut, Bakhmutse, and Siversk;

on the Avdiivka axis — with tanks and various caliber artillery in the areas of populated places Mariinka, Vodyane, Krasnogorivka, Pervomaiske, and Nevelsko;

on the Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia axes — with tanks, mortars, artillery and rocket launchers in the areas of populated places Vremivka, Vuhledar, Poltavka, Olhyvskyi, Maliyevka, Pavlivka, Novodanylivka.

On the Southern Bug axis, over 20 populated areas along the line of contact were affected by artillery fire.

Occupants are forcibly displacing civilian population. For example, in the town of Kakhovka, Kherson Oblast, civilians living in housing along the Dnipro River are being forcibly evicted from their homes. Around civilian dwellings, Russian occupiers construct engineering fortifications and mine-explosive barriers. In Novochornomorsk village of Skadovsk Raion, Russian military personnel psychologically and physically pressure peaceful residents. They are evicted from their own housing. The thus vacated settlements are planned to be resettled by the occupants.

Air force of defensive forces during the past day delivered 14 strikes against the enemy. Areas with concentration of weapons and military equipment, command points, and positions of air defense systems were hit. On various axes, our anti-aircraft units shot down four helicopters, two drones, and 45 enemy cruise missiles.

Forces of rocket troops and artillery over the past day damaged two control points, three areas with concentration of manpower, weapons, and military equipment, as well as other important military objects of Russian occupants.
