General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces: operational information regarding the Russian invasion (as of 06:00 22.09.2022)

To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on September 22, 2022 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The two hundred and eleventh day of the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian nation against the Russian large-scale invasion has begun.

The enemy continues to concentrate efforts on attempts at full occupation of the Donetsk region, organizing defense and holding onto occupied territories. They also try to disrupt active operations of the Defense Forces on certain fronts. They are shelling our positions along the line of contact, making troop redeployment efforts, and continuously conducting aerial reconnaissance.

Over the past day, the enemy carried out eight missile strikes and sixteen air raids, conducted 115 attacks with multiple rocket launchers on military and civilian objects in Ukraine's territory, violating international humanitarian law, laws, and customs of war. As a result of Russian forces' attacks, infrastructure in more than forty populated areas was damaged. This includes Siversk, Mariinka, Vesela, Neskyuchne, Yegorivka, Bezimenne, Bihorodka, Myrolubivka, and Vysokopillya.

There remains a threat of air and missile strikes across the entire territory of Ukraine.

On the Volynian and Polesian fronts, the situation has not changed.

On other fronts, the enemy carried out shelling with tanks, mortars, and artillery of various calibers:

on the Northern front — in the areas of populated places Senkivka and Huta-Studenetska, Chernihiv region;

on the Slobozhanskyi front — in the areas of populated places Strylecha, Glybokoye, Morohovec, Gatishche, Vovchansk, Kamianka, Kupiansk and Osyiv;

on the Kramatorskyi front — Sloviansk, Korovyj Yar, Bogorodichne, Oleksandrivka, Yarovaya, Pryshyb, Dibrova, Donetsk and Raygorodka;

on the Bakhmutskyi front — Mykolaivka, Sverdlovsk, Bakhmut, Rozdolovka, Opitne, Yakovlivka, Bilohorivka and Mayorshchyna;

on the Avdiyivskyi front — Krasnogorivka, Avdiivka, Kamianka, Opitne, Mariinka and Vodyane;

on the Novopavlivskiy and Zaporizhzhya fronts, over 16 populated areas were affected by artillery fire. Among them — Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Hulyaypole, Neskyuchne, Vremyvka and Novopol;

on the South Bug front, over 25 populated areas along the line of contact were shelled. To conduct reconnaissance, correct fire, and target objects of civilian infrastructure, the enemy carried out more than 30 sorties with UAVs.

Violations of international humanitarian law and customs of war remain the norm for Russian servicemen on temporarily occupied territories. For example, in the Svatove district, to hide engineering equipment, occupiers forcibly displaced residents from populated places Goncharivka and Kuzmenivka from their homes and transported them deep into temporarily occupied territory of Luhansk region. In Mykolaiv region, occupiers seized milk trucks from territorial communities and used them for covert transportation of ammunition into the zone of combat operations.

Over the past day, units of our forces repelled enemy attacks in the areas of populated places Zaytseve, Otradivka and Novomikhailivka.

To support ground formations' actions, aviation of the Defense Forces carried out 41 strikes on enemy positions. Damage to 21 concentrations of manpower and military equipment, four strongpoints, and fifteen positions of air defense missile systems was confirmed.

Rocket forces and artillery inflicted damage on 24 enemy objects over the past day. Among them, four command posts at various levels, four areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment, seven ammunition depots and PMM. The zone of impact included depots, four PVO and artillery objects.

Total losses of the enemy are being clarified.

We firmly hold our weapons! We believe in victory! Glory to Ukraine!
