After yesterday's victory over Portugal (3:2), Yuri Klymenko's team secured a place in the 2023 European Games in Krakow and advanced to the semifinals of EuroLeague-2022. There, they faced the tournament hosts — the Italian national team.
The first period ended in favor of Italy thanks to Victoria Privitera's single goal. In the second 12-minute segment, neither team scored any goals, while in the middle of the third, Giulia Olivieri made it extremely difficult for our team to reach the tournament final — 2:0.
However, two minutes later, Snejana Volovenko gave hope to our team, but immediately after that, Claudia Sadogni scored the third goal against Anastasiia Teresh.
So, 3:1 — victory for Italy.
