After yesterday's loss to Italy in the fourth round of Euroleague-2022 (1:7), for their team coached by Yuri Klimenko to advance to the tournament semifinals, they had to defeat Portugal today and hope that England would lose to Spain.

The start of the match against the Portuguese was not very successful for our blue-and-yellow team. As early as in the first minute, Joana Meira scored a goal against Anastasiia Teresh. However, no more goals were scored until halftime, and at the beginning of the second half, Myroslava Vypasnyak equalized on the 13th minute. Nevertheless, on the 18th minute, Djamilah put our opponents back in front.

In the third period, Anastasiia Klipchakenko tied the score again at the 27th minute, and with four minutes to go before the final whistle, Myroslava Vypasnyak scored a second goal and secured victory for our team — 3:2.

Considering England's loss to Spain — 0:2, the Ukrainian women's national team advanced to the semifinals of Euroleague-2022 and guaranteed themselves a spot in the European Games 2023 in Krakow.
