After losing to Switzerland's team (3:5) and a surprising victory over Spain's team (2:1), today Ukraine's national team faced Sweden in the decisive match of Group B.

The players under Yuri Klimenko performed very well in the first period. On the 6th minute, Snejana Volovenko and on the 11th minute Yulia Deychtyar secured a comfortable lead for our team — 2:0.

In the second 12-minute period, Sweden's national team managed to narrow the gap through Kaisa's efforts, but Yulia Deychtyar sealed her double and reestablished the previous lead at the end of the period. In the last seconds before halftime, Myrosława Vypasnyak even increased it — 4:1.

When Anastasiia Kliapachenko scored the fifth goal against our opponents in the third period on the 28th minute, the course of the match was effectively decided. Tuva's goal four minutes later only added to Sweden's frustration. In the end, 5:2 — a victory for Ukraine.

This success allowed Ukraine's women's national team to accumulate six points and advance to the semifinals of the tournament, securing their place at the World Beach Games which will take place from August 6-12, 2023 in Bali, Indonesia.
