A modern stadium has been opened in Zakarpattia Oblast within the framework of President Volodymyr Zelensky's "Great Construction" program and with community co-funding.

The arena was inaugurated in the town of Vishkovo, located on Hustchina. Work on the stadium began in 2021, and despite the war, the project was successfully completed.

Residents of Vishkovo received a new artificial turf football field, a volleyball court, renovated stands, lighting, administrative offices with additional equipment, furniture, and inventory.

The opening ceremony of the renovated stadium was attended by the head of Zakarpattia OVA Viktor Mykyta, first vice-president of UAF Oleh Protsasov, member of the UAF Executive Committee and People's Deputy Ivan Krylyk, president of the Zakarpattia Football Association Ivan Duran, heads of neighboring OTGs, veterans of Zakarpattian football.

"Vishkovites have great football traditions, and I hope that new football stars will rise on this stadium. And today in the first children's tournament on the new football field, the children's team of FC 'Vishkovo' won. The start has been made, there will be more to come," — said Ivan Krylyk.

"At this difficult time for our country, we show the whole world that Ukraine is moving towards social development and cares about future generations," — noted Viktor Mykyta.

He thanked the state leadership, President of UAF and UEFA Executive Committee member Andriy Pavelko, People's Deputy Ivan Krylyk, head of Vishkovo Community Yaroslav Hayovich, Zakarpattia Football Association, and everyone involved in implementing the project.
