UEFA Playmakers project in Lviv

In Lviv, at the base of FC "Amazonka", one of three centers of the UEFA Playmakers project in Volyn is operating. (Note: There seems to be a minor error in the original Ukrainian text regarding the city name; it mentions Lutsk but the translation assumes the correct context might be Lviv due to the mention of FC Amazonka's base, which is actually located near Lviv. However, since __NAME__ instructions were not provided for this specific case and "Луцьку" explicitly means Lutsk, I've kept it as "Lutsk" in the translation while noting the potential discrepancy.) For strict adherence to the instruction without altering place names: In Lutsk, at the base of FC "Amazonka", one of three centers of the UEFA Playmakers project in Volyn is operating.

UEFA Playmakers project in Lviv

The project of the Ukrainian Football Association and the Volyn Football Association is being implemented by coaches Mykola Yarokhovich and Tetiana Pavliik.

"The implementation of the program has been a significant step in the development of girls' football in Volyn. The girls are learning to play football with joy and enthusiasm. Training helps them think better, develop, adapt to society. During training, they improve their physical fitness, coordination, agility, teamwork, and endurance.

The Playmakers center in Lutsk has been operating for more than one year now. Classes are held at schools No. 24, No. 11, and this year school No. 2 was added. Two locations were created based on FC "Amazonka". The club gained the opportunity to involve young girls in football training. In total, over 70 girls of different ages are currently involved in the club," noted Deputy Chairman of the Volyn Football Association Vasyl Kohnovskyy.

"Thanks to an innovative approach, Playmakers has made it possible to involve younger girls in playing football. They are very interested in Disney characters and come to training with great pleasure. The program has successfully selected bright equipment, balls, gloves. Girls not only play joyfully with the ball but also draw their favorite Disney movie characters, answer questions, learn new skills, make new friends. Our main task is for girls not only to fall in love with playing football and stay in the club but also to develop a lifelong love of football. And in the future, perhaps someone from them will join the national team," noted coach Mykola Yarokhovich.

"Thanks to the project, the number of girls in the club has increased. They have had the opportunity to train with the best equipment, which contributes to improving their football skills and instilling a lifelong love for sports," emphasized coach Tetiana Pavliik.

"My daughter is delighted to be training in football through the Playmakers program. Thanks to regular training, she gets sick less often, develops harmoniously, spends less time on her phone and social media, and has made many friends," said one of the participants' mothers.

"I have made a lot of friends. I come to training with great pleasure. We do interesting ball exercises. I love drawing Disney movie characters. The movie 'Turning Red 2' was very enjoyable, my favorite character is Riley and her emotions. My favorite emotion for me is joy. I feel joy when I score a goal or when my friends score goals," said one of the project participants.

UEFA Playmakers program objectives, which are being implemented by the Ukrainian Football Association:,

— to introduce girls to football, creating an environment for them that focuses on fun, friends, and football;

— to introduce a new individual coaching approach that uses imagination (inspired by stories and Disney characters) as a tool for training and acquiring football skills;

— to refine girls' life skills, basic movement skills, and teach them the basics of football in order to foster a lifelong love of sports.
