Head of the Tactical and Special Training Department at the Military Institute of Telecommunications and Informatization named after Heroes of Kрут, Colonel Igor Mykolayovych Pavlov, heroically fell in February 2015 in the zone of anti-terrorist operation, defending the independence of Ukraine.

The mini-football tournament is organized and held with the support of the Ukrainian Football Association, the Pechersky District State Administration in Kyiv City, and the Military Institute of Telecommunications and Informatization named after Heroes of Kрут.

Participants:

— team of the Main Military Clinical Hospital of the Armed Forces of Ukraine;

— team of the Department of Patrol Police of Ukraine;

— team of the Department for Matters of Execution of Criminal Punishments in Ukraine; 

— team of the Military Institute of Telecommunications and Informatization named after Heroes of Kрут.

At the end of the competition, honorable guests addressed the participants with welcoming words: Colonel Igor Pavlov's daughter Aliona, head of the amateur and mass football department at the Ukrainian Football Association Denis Sukhoruk, chief of physical training and sports rehabilitation service for Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Major Serhiy Syomik, head of the youth and sport department in Pechersky District State Administration in Kyiv City Victoria Tromsa, and deputy head of the Military Institute of Telecommunications and Informatization named after Heroes of Kрут Hryhoriy Radzivilov.

"I sincerely thank everyone for their participation and for remembering... Today was truly an exceptional tournament, in which the best team emerged victorious," — noted Aliona Pavlova.

"Very grateful that you gathered here today. On behalf of the Ukrainian Football Association, I want to thank everyone for this event and for defending our country," — emphasized Denis Sukhoruk.

"Thank you all who took part in this tournament which has been held for ten years. We were rooting for you. See you next year," — highlighted Victoria Tromsa.

"I am glad to welcome today's participants. I would like to note that, in particular, through sports we have the opportunity to pay tribute to all who defend our state and those who, unfortunately, fell in this battle," — stated Serhiy Syomik.

Tournament Results:

4th place — team of the Department for Matters of Execution of Criminal Punishments in Ukraine;

3rd place — team of the Main Military Clinical Hospital of the Armed Forces of Ukraine;

2nd place — team of the Military Institute of Telecommunications and Informatization named after Heroes of Kрут (awarding medals and cup); 

1st place — team of the Department of Patrol Police of Ukraine.

Individual Awards:

— best goalkeeper — Oleksandr Kakhniy; 

— best defender — Vasyl Hrytsay; 

— best forward — Oleg Koliysnik; 

— best player — Yaroslav Kalyna.
