"School Ball" is a revamped format of the legendary "Leather Ball," which has quickly gained popularity since its relaunch. In the second season of nationwide competitions, 3 thousand schools and 50 thousand students — boys and girls born no later than 2014 — participated. This is three times more than last year when the tournament gathered nearly a thousand schools and 15 thousand young football players.

After overcoming several preliminary stages, only 22 top teams made it to the final stage of the competition — each representing a separate school and being the winner of their regional tournament. The finals took place from May 17 to 20 in Vinnyky, Lviv region, at FC "Ruh."

The winners and prize-winners of the "School Ball"" season 2025/2026 have been determined:

1st place — Terнопіль Specialized School No. 3 (Тернопіль region)
2nd place — Ivano-Frankivsk Lyceum No. 10 (Ivano-Frankivsk region)
3rd place — Bakhmach Lyceum No. 1 (Chernihiv region)

Players of the winning team, that is Terнопіль Specialized School No. 3, will receive a trip to Kovel as a prize.

The award ceremony was attended by the leadership of the Ukrainian Football Association:

• Oleksandr Shevchenko — vice-president of UAF, head of Lviv Football Association

• Oleg Luzhnyy — professional football committee head, former defender of Ukraine and London Arsenal
• Olena Balbek — director of the charitable fund "UAF Foundation"

After the final tournament ended, all participants will have an opportunity to attend the Cup of Ukraine final between "Dynamo" and "Chernihiv," which is taking place today, May 20, at Lviv Arena.
