"Open Football Festival," which was held in collaboration with the Poltava Football Association, brought together children, volunteers, and all supporters of a healthy lifestyle.
The festival was organized by local volunteers Bogdan Yatsyuk and Oleksandr Kharchenko, who had previously undergone training with the UAF and formed a team of teachers and coaches. Open football lessons were attended by students from 1st to 7th grade — they had the opportunity to showcase their skills and gain new knowledge.
"The festival gifted children bright emotions, team spirit and love for sports. Thank you to all volunteers for developing children's football and supporting the younger generation," — shared Bogdan Yatsyuk.
During the season, a football section for children also operated within the project.
The "Open Football Festivals" project of the Ukrainian Football Association is:
youth leadership in communities;
psychosocial support for children of military personnel, IDPs (internally displaced persons), and war victims;
unity and friendship among IDP children and local children, social integration;
an inclusive environment where everyone participates regardless of abilities and gender, including children with special educational needs;
knowledge of safety in wartime conditions;
the philosophy of mass football — joy from playing instead of results at any cost;
cultivation of a healthy lifestyle;
volunteer development in communities.
