Dmytro Mykhailenko will conduct an open webinar for parents and coaches of young football players

On August 12, 2026 at 18:30 in an online format, a webinar for parents and coaches of young football players will take place. The speaker will be the head coach of Ukraine's U-21 national team, Dmitro Mykhaylenko.

The event continues a series of educational initiatives by the "Talentikos" project, which previously held several seminars and festivals in cities across Ukraine. The online format allows anyone interested to participate regardless of their region.

"Talentikos" is an ecosystem of modern football that combines sports, education, technology, and entertainment. The project was created so that children can not only play football but also develop their talents in non-traditional formats, meet peers, and gain experience participating in large-scale football events. This initiative is supported by the UAF Foundation and aims to popularize children's football and develop young players.

The topic of the webinar will be "Football without templates: How not to lose a child's creativity in the race for results."

Dmitro Mykhaylenko will speak about what qualities he actually looks for in 16–17-year-old players and why many footballers by this age have already lost their courage on the field. A separate part of the discussion will focus on why a child who is constantly taught to "play correctly" eventually stops taking risks, and what parents and coaches can do today so that in a few years the young player does not become "technical but predictable."

The key part of the event will be live interaction with the audience. Participants will have the opportunity to personally ask questions to the national team coach and receive answers regarding specific situations in developing their children and wards.
