Andrea Malderra became the new head coach of the Ukraine national team. The candidacy of the Italian specialist was approved by the Executive Committee of the UAF on the proposal of the National Teams Committee. The contract with Andrea Malderra is for two years with an option to extend.

Thus, for the first time, the Ukraine national team is led by a foreign coach.

Biographical Note

Andrea Malderra was born on May 18, 1971.

During his career, he worked as an assistant coach at AC Milan (Italy), Brighton & Hove Albion (England) and Marseille (France).

From 2016 to 2021, he was Andriy Shevchenko's assistant in the coaching staff of the Ukraine national team.
