The day before, 16 teams were divided into four pots according to their positions in the national team rankings as of September 25. Oleksandr Kosyenko's wards landed in the first pot.   

During the UEFA draw, our team and the team of the aggressor country—Belarus—were distributed into different groups. In addition, tournament host countries were automatically divided among different quartets: Latvia went to Group A, Lithuania—to Group B, Slovenia—to Group C.

According to the draw results, Ukraine's national team ended up in Group B along with Lithuania, Armenia, and Czech Republic.

Two best teams from each group will advance to the quarter-finals.

As a reminder, the Euro-2026 will take place from January 21 to February 7 next year on the pitches of Latvia's Riga, Lithuania's Kaunas and Slovenia's Ljubljana.
