President of the Ukrainian Football Association Andriy Shevchenko and head of the UAF Committee of Referees Kateryna Monzul have been elected to FIFA's standing committees

The FIFA Council has approved the selection of Andriy Shevchenko, president of the Ukrainian Football Association (UAF), and Kateryna Monzul, head of the UAF Referees Committee, to join FIFA's standing committees.

This decision was made in accordance with an amendment to the FIFA Statutes approved at the 74th FIFA Congress. The amendment addresses the need for restructuring FIFA’s standing committees to ensure greater participation of member associations in decision-making processes, as well as increased involvement of women.

In line with this procedure, the FIFA Council at its latest meeting appointed heads, deputy heads, and members of FIFA's standing committees for a four-year term (2025–2029).

As a result, Andriy Shevchenko, president of the UAF, was elected as head of the FIFA Committee on the Future of Football, while Kateryna Monzul, head of the UAF Referees Committee, was appointed to the FIFA Standing Committee for Women's Football.
