In the capital of Moldova, Chisinau, Igor Mosyichov's wards met with the tournament hosts. And they settled the question of the winner already in the first half. They materialized their great difference in class and dominance on the pitch into goals by Kametz, Klimchuk, Tsap, and Pershin's brace.

After halftime, Moldovans had a great chance to score a prestige goal when they were playing with a numerical advantage after Hibovsky's dismissal, but failed to capitalize on it. Moreover, later Malynovskyi and Rostkovsky increased the gap in the scoreboard. In summary—7:0, a confident start for our boys at the tournament. However, matches against competitors in the fight for advancement to the semifinals are ahead.
