As part of their World Cup preparation, the Ukraine U-20 national team played a friendly match against Australia's U-20 squad in Chile, who will also be participating in the tournament.

The match was eventful. In the first half, the Australians scored twice. After halftime, the Ukrainians managed to equalize thanks to goals from Kiril Dityatyr and Danil Krevsun. However, in stoppage time, their opponents secured victory with a third goal.

The 2025 World Cup (U-20) will take place from September 27 to October 19 in five cities in Chile: Valparaiso, Santiago, Viña del Mar, Rancagua and Talca. Twenty-four teams from six confederations will participate. Initially, they will compete in six groups of four. The top two teams from each group, along with the four third-placed teams, will advance to the round of 16. From there, it follows the usual format.
