On May 25, a football tournament for veterans, people with disabilities caused by war, and active military personnel took place at the Kyiv City NTK named after Viktor Bannikov, dedicated to Kyiv Day.

Eight teams participated in the competition: "Lut", "President's Brigade", "Friends and Brothers", "Dominant", "Bronto", "Patriot", "Vovkulaks", and Kyiv Military Lyceum named after Ivan Bohun.

The ceremonial opening of the tournament began with the performance of the State Anthem of Ukraine and a moment of silence in memory of fallen heroes.

With welcoming words to the participants, Vadym Hutsalyuk, deputy director of Kyiv City Center for Physical Culture and Sports for People with Disabilities "Invasport", and Mykhailo Yaskevych, manager of the football development department at the Ukrainian Football Association (UAF), emphasized the importance of rehabilitation through sports and support for Ukrainian soldiers.

The competition was held in the format of two groups with four teams each, and the winners of these groups advanced to the final, while second-place finishers competed for third place.

All winners were awarded trophies and medals. The event concluded with a group photo of the participants — in memory of the true day of unity, dignity, and strength of spirit.
