The 2025/2026 season of the UEFA Champions League in futsal will begin on July 3 with the draw for the preliminary and main rounds. Two representatives from Ukraine will participate in the final round.

As a reminder, the tournament format now includes new stages. Starting from the 2025/2026 season, the elite round with 16 teams will be canceled and replaced by a knockout system similar to that used in regular football.

Now home matches can be played not only by the hosts of four mini-tournaments but also each of the 16 teams. The round of 1/8 finals and 1/4 finals will consist of two matches — home and away. The final tournament, as before, will be held in a "final four" format.

New Format

Participants (no changes)

As in the previous format, each national association will have the right to participate by entering one club plus a possible tournament winner. Three associations with the highest positions in the UEFA rankings of national teams for futsal as of the end of April of the previous year will receive the right to enter a second team. If the tournament winner is from one of the top three national associations, then the association holding fourth place will also have the right to enter a second participant.

In the 2025/2026 season, the ranking of national associations as of April 2024 will be taken into account. Portugal, Spain, Kazakhstan and Ukraine will have the right to enter two teams each.

The champion and teams holding positions from 1st to 11th and from 16th to 19th in the UEFA Champions League coefficient ranking will participate in Group A of the main round. All other teams will participate in the preliminary round or in Group B of the main round.

Preliminary Round (August 26–31)

Teams with the lowest UEFA ranking will participate in this round. They are divided into groups of four or, depending on the number of clubs in the round, three teams. Matches within these groups take place as mini-tournaments in one country. Winners of the groups (and possibly second-placed teams) advance to Group B of the main round.

Main Round (October 28–November 2)

Group A

This group includes the current champion and teams holding positions from 1st to 11th and from 16th to 19th in the UEFA Champions League coefficient ranking. Our champion, — Kyiv's "HIT," will participate here. They are divided into four groups of four teams that play mini-tournaments in one country. The three best teams from each group advance to the round of 1/8 finals.

Group B

Teams that qualified in the preliminary round join teams participating directly in this round (including those from 12th to 15th place, who are the top seeds on this path). They are divided into four groups of four teams that play mini-tournaments in one country. Our silver medalist from Ukraine's championship, — Kyiv's "Aurora," will participate here. The winners of each group advance to the round of 1/8 finals.

Round of 16 (November 24 and December 5)

For the draw, two pots are created: winners of Group B and teams holding third places in Group A go into one pot, while the top two teams from each group in Group A — into another. In each two-legged tie, one team from each pot will participate, with winners of Group B and teams holding third places in Group A being home for the first matches. The draw for the round of 16 also determines the knockout stage layout for the rest of the tournament.

Quarter-finals (February 23 and March 6, 2026)

Quarter-finals take place in two-legged ties. Theirwinners advance to the "final four," which will be held in a designated country.

Final Four (May 7–10, 2026)

As before, the final tournament is a knockout competition among four teams lasting three days, with semi-finals on one day and the final and third-place match over two days.

However, there will be no separate draw as now, since the layout has already been determined earlier during the draw. The venue for the final tournament will now be chosen in advance rather than after determining the four participants.
