The Ukrainian Football Association is launching a recruitment drive for young football players and girls born in 2018–2019 to join the UAF Development Centre. This unique opportunity allows children to receive high-quality training using modern European methods under the guidance of experienced coaches.

One of the directions at the UAF Development Centre is the all-round development of a child, taking into account their age-specific characteristics and individual needs.

“We are launching our first UAF Development Centre, which is one of the important steps for the association in promoting football and attracting more children to it. Coaches will work according to modern methodologies that top football training centres successfully use.”

Our goal is to create conditions and an atmosphere that encourage children's desire to play football. We want a child to leave training filled with emotions, and return to the field not alone but with friends. Attracting more children to physical activity is our priority now. The UAF Development Centre is not just about training or sports. It is primarily a tool for forming in boys and girls a sense of belonging and involvement in one football community,” — noted Andriy Shevchenko, President of the Ukrainian Football Association.

The program includes:

— training according to methods used by leading European academies, including Manchester City;

— work under the guidance of qualified coaches who have completed internships and continue their education at Manchester City;

— high-level involvement of coaching staff in the educational process and an individual approach to each student;

— development of physical abilities and formation of a healthy lifestyle;

— training in team interaction and football thinking;

— improving the skills of quick analysis and decision-making on the field;

— instilling respect and adherence to principles of fair play;

— fostering discipline and self-confidence;

— creating a safe and positive environment that takes into account the needs of each child.

Training at the UAF Development Centre is free. This is part of the UAF program to promote mass football among children and attract them to an active lifestyle. Both boys and girls can participate in the recruitment.
