March 8-9 in the city of Kremenchuk, the third Development Cup will take place — a tournament for young football players organized by the UAF to improve their skills, develop teamwork, and popularize children's football.
Six teams from Poltava Oblast will participate in the competition, one of which will be a girls' team — as a result of cooperation between the Children and Youth Football Committee and the Women's and Girls' Football Committee of the UAF. This approach will also promote the development of girls' football and provide young athletes with equal opportunities to participate in competitions.
Matches will be played under the 5x5 format (four outfield players and a goalkeeper) on a field measuring 40x20 meters with goalposts that are 3x2 meters.
One of the key conditions of the tournament's concept is that each young athlete will receive equal playing time and play at least two fundamentally different positions, which will contribute to the all-round development of the younger generation of Ukrainian football.
The Development Cup is not only a competition but also a great opportunity for young players to gain new experience, feel team spirit, and take another step forward in their football journey.
