The players of the Ukrainian national futsal team, who won bronze medals in Uzbekistan at the 2024 World Championship, have been awarded the title of «Honored Master of Sport of Ukraine», reports the press service of the Futsal Association of Ukraine.

The following players have already received their awards: Mykhailo Zvarych, Oleksandr Suchov, Rostyslav Semenchenko, Yuriy Savenko, Daniil Abakshin, Yevheniy Zhuk, Ihor Chernyavskyi, Andriy Melnyk, Artem Farenyuk, Mykola Mikhityuk, and Ihor Korsun.

Petro Shoturma, Kyrylo Tsybun, and Nazar Shved, who are currently not part of the national team roster, will also receive their awards.

The title of «Honored Master of Sport of Ukraine» is the highest sporting title awarded for outstanding achievements on an international level.

As a reminder, the Ukrainian team won historic bronze medals in Uzbekistan. In the group stage, our team first lost to Argentina (1:7), then defeated Angola (7:2) and Afghanistan (4:1). After securing second place in the quarter-finals, blue-and-yellow overcame the Netherlands (3:1) in the round of 16. In the quarter-final, the team led by Oleksandr Kosenko defeated Venezuela (9:4), but lost to Brazil in the semi-finals (2:3). The team secured third place by defeating France in the bronze medal match (7:1).
