A meeting dedicated to organizing and conducting the Ukrainian Higher League Championship was held at the House of Football.
Under the leadership of Anastasiya Klipachenko, head of the UAF Committee for Women’s and Girls’ Football, a working session took place involving representatives from the Women’s and Girls’ Football Department and other UAF departments and committees, as well as club managers and coaches from the Higher League.
The session was opened by UAF First Vice President Pavlo Boichuk. Following this, participants discussed pressing issues, including key points about registering club-trained players in the UAF database (Valeriy Bakhur), recent updates on stadium and competition safety requirements (Yuriy Nestryha), and regulatory changes to disciplinary rules (Oksana Zalizko).
The meeting also reviewed the results of the first part of the competition and addressed future plans, including a draft Unified Calendar of Women’s and Girls’ Football Events for the first half of 2025.
According to Anastasiya Klipachenko, the meeting was productive and helped identify key development directions for the coming years.
"We have a clear understanding that achieving new heights requires teamwork. Each participant made a significant contribution to today’s discussion, and together, we can achieve ambitious goals.
Developing elite women’s football is not just about sporting achievements but also about shaping a new generation of athletes who will inspire many. We aim to create conditions where every player can reach her full potential at the highest level," Klipachenko emphasized.
As during the previous meeting with representatives of the First and Girls’ Leagues, Anastasiya Klipachenko presented the Comprehensive Player Development Project (a joint initiative of the UAF Women’s and Girls’ Football Department and the "Champion’s Pathway" organization), which focuses on the role of the coach as a mentor for each player, from beginner to professional.
The working meeting reaffirmed the participants’ interest and readiness to strengthen women’s football in Ukraine. This dialogue between club leaders, coaches, and the UAF is a necessary step in creating an environment where women’s teams can grow, achieve new heights, and promote Ukrainian football on the international stage.
