Today, December 20, in Nyon, the draw for the Round of 16 of the UEFA Youth League-2024/2025 took place. Two representatives from Ukraine — Donetsk's "Shakhtar" and Kyiv's "Dynamo" — qualified for this stage. The miners finished 14th in the main round, which corresponded to the match schedule of their senior team in the Champions League. Dynamo players overcame two opponents on the path to the Champions League.

In the Round of 16, 22 of the best teams from the Champions League Path joined ten winners from the National Champions Path. Teams with a ranking of 1—6 in the Champions League Path were seeded and will play against teams that finished 17—22nd in the main round. Winners of the third round of the National Champions Path (among them — "Dynamo") were also seeded and will face teams ranked 7—16th in the Champions League Path (among them — "Shakhtar").

Teams from the same association were separated during the draw. Seeded teams will play their Round of 16 matches at home. The one-off encounters will take place on February 11/12, 2025. Dates and kick-off times for the games will be announced by January 7.

According to the draw results, "Dynamo" will play against Italian "Atalanta" at home, while "Shakhtar" will travel to face German "Hoffenheim."
