On Thursday, December 5 in Nyon, Switzerland, the draw procedure for the second qualifying round of Euro-2025 (U-17) will take place.

The draw will start at 12:45 Kyiv time. During it, 54 teams will be divided into groups in two leagues — A and B. Based on the results of the first qualifying round, 28 national teams have qualified for League A, while the remaining 26 — to League B.

The Ukrainian U-17 youth team (players born in or after 2008) under the leadership of Yurii Moroz finished second in their group during the first round, defeating Kosovo (4:2) and Kazakhstan (3:0), but losing to Belgium (1:2). Prior to the second stage draw, they are in Pot 3. The seeding was determined based on the results of the first round.

League A

28 teams in League A will be split into seven groups of four participants each. In each quartet, there will be one team from each seeding pot.

Pot 1: Italy, Portugal, England, France, Belgium, Spain, Czech Republic.

Pot 2: Switzerland, Poland, Greece, Croatia, Serbia, Austria, Northern Ireland.

Pot 3: Germany, Iceland, Slovenia, Turkey, Netherlands, Denmark, Ukraine.

Pot 4: Slovakia, Sweden, Norway, Israel, Hungary, Ireland, Finland.

The seven group winners will earn the right to join Albania, the host of Euro-2025 (U-17), in the final tournament which will take place from May 19 to June 1.

The seven teams that finish fourth in their groups in League A will drop down to League B for the first round of Euro-2027 (U-19) qualification.

League B

26 teams will be split into five groups of four participants and two groups of three participants. 

Pot 1: Lithuania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Luxembourg, Romania, Albania, Kosovo.

Pot 2: Cyprus, Bulgaria, Georgia, Wales, Latvia, North Macedonia, Belarus.

Pot 3: Scotland, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Estonia, Armenia, Moldova, Malta.

Pot 4: Andorra, San Marino, Faroe Islands, Gibraltar, Liechtenstein.

The seven group winners in League B will rise to League A for the first round of Euro-2027 (U-19) qualification.

It is worth noting that Euro-2025 (U-17) will serve as the qualifying tournament for the 2025 World Cup in the U-17 category, which will feature 48 national teams and take place in Qatar.
