UAF President Andriy Shevchenko and Minister of Youth and Sports Matviy Bidnyi awarded Futsal World Cup 2024 personal bronze medals
Today, the House of Football hosted a special gathering to honor the national futsal team of Ukraine, which recently won the bronze medal at the Futsal World Cup 2024 in Uzbekistan.

The event attracted several distinguished guests, including UAF President Andriy Shevchenko, Minister of Youth and Sports Matviy Bidnyi, UAF First Vice President Oleksandr Shevchenko, UAF General Secretary Igor Gryshchenko, and President of the Futsal Association of Ukraine Serhiy Vladyko.
UAF President Andriy Shevchenko personally congratulated the players, emphasizing the significance of their achievement for the country, particularly during these challenging times. He highlighted the importance of each player’s contribution to the team’s success and acknowledged the individual accomplishments of the team’s leaders.

“I am immensely pleased to congratulate you again on this outstanding achievement. As a former player and coach, I understand the journey required to reach such a goal. You have etched your name into the history of Ukrainian futsal, and it is now part of the global sports narrative. People recognize your achievements everywhere I travel, and I am truly proud of you. Each of your victories is a victory for the whole country,” Andriy Shevchenko stated.

The UAF President also invited each player to sign a historic team photo from the awards ceremony at the World Cup. This photo, soon to become part of the UAF’s Hall of Fame, represents a significant chapter in Ukrainian sports history.
Minister of Youth and Sports Matviy Bidnyi expressed his gratitude to the players for their contribution to Ukraine's success on the international stage.

In these difficult times, amid war, you have added another important victory to Ukraine’s treasury. We are all proud of you!” said Matviy Bidnyi.
