In his 76th year of life, the renowned football player, coach, and official, Master of Sports, International Master of Sport, Honored Worker of Physical Culture and Sports of Ukraine, Anatoliy Dmitrovych Konkev, passed away.

Anatoliy Konkev was born on September 19, 1949, in Hrustalnyi (Krasnyy Luch). During his playing career, he played as a defensive midfielder. He defended the colors of "Avangard" (Kramatorsk), "Shakhtar" (Donetsk) and "Dynamo" (Kyiv). Champion of the USSR (4 times), winner of the USSR Cup, winner of the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup, winner of the UEFA Super Cup.

With the national team of the USSR, he played 47 matches (8 goals). Silver medalist at Euro-1972. As part of the Olympic team of the USSR, he played two matches. Bronze medalist in the football tournament at the Olympics-1976.

As a coach, he led "Tavriya", "Shakhtar", SK "Mykolaiv", "Vorskla", "Stal" and "Inter" (Azerbaijan). He worked as head coach of the youth national team of Ukraine. At the helm of the national team of Ukraine, he conducted seven matches (three wins and four losses).

The Ukrainian Football Association expresses sincere condolences to Anatoliy Konkev's relatives, friends, and colleagues.

Farewell with Anatoliy Konkev will take place on Monday, October 7, at the Kyiv stadium "Dynamo" named after V. Lobanovskyi. Start time - 12:00. Burial will take place at Baykove Cemetery.
