In the previous stage of the tournament, the Ukrainian team defeated Latvian club RFS (5:0) and Hungarian Ferencváros (2:0) within Group 10 of the Champions Path. Following the draw, Vorskla faced Celtic in a bid for a spot in the group stage.

Both matches for Vorskla were held at the same location in Airdrie. In the first game, which took place four days ago, the Ukrainians lost 0:1.

Today, September 26, our team attempted to secure a place in the group stage in the second match. The first half was marked by tense and balanced competition. However, two goals in the second half secured victory for the hosts, ending the match 2:0. Thus, Vorskla's European campaign has come to an end.

Twelve winners from this stage (seven from the Champions Path and five from the League Path) will advance to the group stage. Automatic spots were granted to Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Lyon, and Chelsea.
