On September 24, the Ukraine national futsal team defeated Netherlands 3:1 in the Round of 16 of the FIFA Futsal World Cup 2024. Mykhailo Zvarych opened the scoring in the match and shared his impressions of the game, as reported by the official website of the Futsal Association of Ukraine.

— You scored the first goal. How did that combination play out? How happy were you at that moment?

— It was thanks to the entire team. We executed the play very well and scored. So, I thank all my teammates and congratulate them on the victory!

— During the match, you sustained an injury and didn’t return to the game in the first half, nor did you play in the second. How serious is the injury? Will we see you back on the court, and how are you feeling overall right now?

— I don’t know. There’s still pain. Tomorrow, I will undergo an examination, and then I will understand what the situation is like. Congratulations to Melnyk! He entered the game excellently and scored two goals. I’m very glad he helped the team and secured our victory. I want to congratulate all the fans, Ukraine, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and all our defenders! Thank you all!

Let’s recall that in the quarterfinals of the Futsal World Cup, the Ukrainian team will face the winner of the match between Spain and Venezuela. The game will take place on September 29 in Tashkent.
