Within the project supported by the "New Democracy" Fund (NDF) and the Cross-Cultural Projects Association (CCPA) from Denmark, in September and October, the Ukrainian Football Association and regional football associations will hold festivals called «Open Football Lessons».

They are being prepared by young leaders and volunteers from project hubs. The festivals engage many children who have not previously been involved in sports through their favorite game, providing psychological support to children affected by the war, as well as uniting internally displaced children with their peers from receiving communities.

According to information from regional football associations, in autumn 2024, the project will be hosted by these communities according to a preliminary schedule:

25.09. 10:00 — Cherkasy Oblast, Smila, Mikhurina St., 41.

25.09. 16:00 — Poltava, Zinkivska Street, 57, Molodizhny Stadium.

26.09. 10:00 — Vinnytsia Oblast, Koziatyn, Lisenko St., 33, Lokomotiv Stadium.

In addition, with the support of UEFA and UAF, the Donetsk OAF (in Poltava for children from the Donetsk region), Kharkiv OAF, and Kyiv will join in organizing the festivals:

21.09. 10:00 — Poltava, Kozak Street, 5 (Donetsk OAF festival).

The date and location of the Kyiv festival dedicated to UEFA's Week of Mass Football are yet to be determined.
