What is independence?

It is the ability to live in a free country, to build a better future for ourselves and our children, to make decisions independently and choose our path, to be ourselves.

Our independence is the greatest value, one that Ukrainians defend every day on the battlefield. For 10 years, we have stood firm.

Today, I am in Kharkiv. This city, like every other large and small city and town in our country, withstands the enemy's blows and remains steadfast.

We thank our heroes, our defenders, and everyone who has taken a stand for our freedom.

Today, we celebrate the 33rd anniversary of Ukraine's Independence. We, Ukrainians, have always been and will always remain a free people.

Together, we are one team, where everyone does everything possible for our common victory.
