A mini-football tournament in support of the Ukrainian Armed Forces "Together to Victory" took place in Kyiv on Ukraine's Independence Day

On August 22 in Kyiv, at the Viktor Bannikov NTK fields, a mini-football tournament in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine "Together to Victory" was held on the eve of Ukraine's Independence Day.

On August 22 in Kyiv, at the Viktor Bannikov National Training Center, a mini-football tournament in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine "Together to Victory" took place on the eve of Ukrainian Independence Day.

Nine teams participated in the competition, which were divided into two groups.

According to the regulations, matches consisted of two halves of 15 minutes each. The winners of the groups played in the final, while the teams that finished second in their respective groups competed for third place.

The participants of the tournament were greeted by President of the Ukrainian Football Association Andriy Shevchenko: «I would like to thank you for your participation. I believe that only true football fans can play in such a spectacle. I want to thank all the boys and girls who are now defending our country. It is thanks to them that we have the opportunity to play football. Symbolically, this tournament took place on the eve of Ukraine's Independence Day. Right now, we understand very well what the word «independence» means for our country.»

All participants of the competition had an opportunity to take a commemorative photo with the head of the UAF, legendary Ukrainian footballer and former national team coach.

Best Goalkeeper — Oleh Kravets (Main Directorate of the National Police in Kyiv Region).

Best Defender — Yurii Maksimenko (All-Ukrainian Association of Professional Footballers).

Best Half-Back — Oleksiy Roslikov (Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine).

Best Forward — Bohdan Hordynyuk (Ukrainian Football Association).

Best Player — Vasyl Biloshtsivskyi (National University of Defense of Ukraine).

It should be noted that all participating teams were awarded football balls and diplomas, while the winners received cups and medals as well.
