The Europa Conference League debut of the fifth-placed team from last season's UPL took place on their opponent's home turf in Ljubljana. There, Imad Ashur's players lost to the local "Olimpia" — 0:2.

Today, however, the reply match at the Municipal Stadium in Polish city of Gliwice saw Ukrainians start brilliantly. As early as on the first minute, Nazarenko received the ball on the left flank, made a cross into the penalty area, and Kuzhnenko scored with an accurate shot — 1:0. It should be noted that this goal was historic — the first for "Polesia" in European competitions.

Unfortunately, after ten minutes, the score was equalized. After a long pass, Floruc picked up the ball in the right corner of the penalty area, dribbled past Sarapiy and scored accurately into the near post.

At the beginning of the second half, Hutsulak had a great chance but his header was saved by the crossbar. The Zhivkivians continued to attack and were close to taking the lead several times. In particular, our team's set pieces were especially dangerous.

Unfortunately, the Ukrainians failed to score again. On the other hand, the Slovenes did so in the third minute of added time. Durdov headed it in, and our goalkeeper slightly misplayed it, resulting in the ball ending up in the net. 1:2 — "Polesia" concluded their European campaign.
