FIFA representatives conducted an interview with one of the leaders of Ukraine's national futsal team, Igor Chernyavsky, asking several questions about the 2024 World Championship in Uzbekistan this fall.

"Our goal was to finish first in our group and automatically qualify for the World Cup. It all came down to the last game against Poland. We had to win, otherwise we would have had to go through a playoff round. Adrenaline was at an all-time high throughout the entire match. It was very exciting to secure the victory and ultimately qualify.

The World Cup is every player's dream. I'm looking forward to it very much. For me, it will be a great honor to represent Ukraine on such a forum."

I remember my emotions from Euro-2022. This was my first experience participating in a major international tournament. But that story has already been written. It's time to write a new one...

Thoughts on the opponents? Argentina was the world champion. It will be very interesting to play against one of the strongest teams on the planet. It's hard to say who is their best player, but I would give that title to Alan Brandi.

Angola is a good team. I watched some bright moments from its performance at the African Nations Cup, where it made it to the final.

I've seen on YouTube and some of Afghanistan's best moments. Quite a fast team...

We want to win every match. And we will do our utmost to perform well in Uzbekistan,"— emphasized Igor Chernyavsky.

Our team secured its World Cup spot last December after defeating Poland (5:3) in the elite round of qualification. Under coach Oleksandr Kosenko, they finished first in their group and earned a direct ticket to the tournament. Along with Ukraine, Europe's other qualifiers are Kazakhstan, France, Spain, and Portugal. Two more lucky teams were determined later after playoff matches, where Netherlands beat Finland, and Croatia defeated Poland.
