Today, on March 14, the Ukrainian women's under-17 team WU-17 will start in the second qualifying round of the 2024 European Championship in the Dutch city of Nordwijk.

Today, on March 14, the Ukrainian women's national team WU-17 will start their second qualifying round for the 2024 European Championship in the Dutch city of Noordwijk. Their first opponent will be the host nation.
As a reminder, the Ukrainian women's national team WU-17 secured third place in their group during the first qualifying round for Euro 2024 and retained their spot in League A.

According to the draw results for the second qualifying round, Ukrainians were placed in Group A5 where they will face Spain, Netherlands, and Turkey. Matches of this quartet will take place from March 14-20 in Dutch cities Gravendeel (Sportpark Juliana) and Noordwijk (Gemeentelijk Sportpark S.J.C.).

"Unfortunately, I only have a video recording of the Netherlands' friendly match against Bulgaria. While this is not much, we will still get an idea of how the hosts play.
In my opinion, the favorites in our group are the Spanish team. The rest of the participants are roughly equal in strength. Our task is to avoid finishing fourth so that we can retain our spot in League A," — noted head coach of the Ukrainian women's national team, Serhiy Sapronov.

In the second qualifying round, seven teams will be determined to join Sweden at the final stage of the European Championship for girls under 17 years old. Additionally, teams that move from one league to another will also be decided. The seeding during the draw was based on the positions teams finished in the first round.
In League A, seven groups with a total of 28 teams are playing, including seven teams that advanced from League B after the first round results. Seven group winners in League A (and the best runner-up if Sweden finishes first) will earn spots at the final stage, which will take place between May 5-18. Teams finishing fourth in their groups will start the next season's first round in League B.
In League B, twenty-two teams are competing across six groups (four with four participants each and two with three) for promotion to League A in the following qualifying cycle.
