Under the leadership of Oleg Kuznetsov, the team secured the top spot in their qualifying group.
Following the draw, Ukraine has been placed in Group 7, where they will compete against Switzerland, North Macedonia, and Latvia. The mini-tournament will be hosted by North Macedonia, with matches scheduled to take place from March 20th to 26th in Skopje at the Makedonija Gjorce Petrov Stadium and FFM Training Centre.
Dmytro Mykhailenko, recently appointed as the head coach of the Ukraine U-19 national team, has announced the squad for the elite qualifying round matches.

The draw for the Euro 2024 Elite Qualifying Round has divided 28 teams into seven groups, with matches scheduled to take place in March. The group winners of the Elite Qualifying Round will advance to the final stage, which will be held from July 15th to 28th, 2024, in Northern Ireland. This serves as UEFA's qualification for the 2025 U-20 World Cup.
