To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 10:00 on January 28, 2024 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The seventh hundred and fourth day of Russia's large-scale military aggression against Ukraine has begun.

During the past day, there were 79 combat engagements. In total, the enemy carried out three missile strikes and eight air raids, using Shahed-136/131 attack drones, conducted 82 artillery attacks on our positions and populated areas. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are fatalities and injuries among civilians. Residential private and multi-story buildings, as well as other civilian infrastructure, have been damaged or destroyed.

Over 100 populated areas in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions came under artillery fire.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "North" «Volynian and Polesian directions» the operational situation remains unchanged.

On the Northern and Slobozhanskyi directions the enemy maintains military presence in border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent our troops from redeploying to threatening sectors, increases mine-explosive barriers along the state border in Belgorod region.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Khortytsia" «Kupyansk direction» our defenders repelled seven enemy attacks near Sinykhivka, Tabayivka Kharkiv region and Stelmakhivka Luhansk region.

On the Lyman direction Ukrainian soldiers repelled 11 enemy attacks near Terny, Yamopolivky, Torisky Donetsk region and Bihorivka Luhansk region.

On the Bakhmut direction soldiers of defense repelled seven enemy attacks in the areas of Ivankivske and Klyshchyivka Donetsk region.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Tavria" «Avdiyivka direction» Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the enemy, who does not give up attempts to encircle Avdiivka. Our soldiers firmly hold their defense, inflicting significant losses on aggressors. Thus, during the past day, forces of defense repelled 11 enemy attacks near Stepove, Avdiyivka and another 17 attacks around Tonenky, Pervomayskoye, Nevelskoye Donetsk region.

On the Mariupol direction Ukrainian soldiers continue to hold back the enemy near Georgiyivka and Novomykhailivka Donetsk region, where 14 attacks were repelled.

On the Shakhtarsk direction our defenders repelled three enemy attacks south of Zolotoy Niva and west of Stary Mayor Donetsk region.

On the Zaporizhzhia direction our soldiers repelled an attack by the enemy west of Verbovyi Zaporizhzhia region.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Odessa" «Kherson direction» soldiers of defense continue to take measures for expanding their foothold. Despite significant losses, the enemy does not give up attempts to drive our units from occupied positions. Thus, during the past day, the enemy carried out two unsuccessful offensive actions.

At the same time, our soldiers continue active operations inflicting casualties and technical losses on occupying forces along the entire front line.

During the day, aviation of defense forces inflicted strikes on four areas of enemy personnel concentration, weapons and military equipment.

Subunits of rocket troops delivered blows to one artillery system and two ammunition depots of the enemy.

Estimated losses of the enemy during the past day amounted to: 740 occupiers, nine tanks, 19 armored combat vehicles, 12 artillery systems, four tactical-level UAVs, 31 vehicles, and three units of special equipment.
