To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 6:00 on January 26, 2024 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The seven hundred and second day has begun of Russia's large-scale military aggression against Ukraine.

The Russian Federation continues to ignore laws and customs of war, employs terror tactics, carries out missile and air strikes, and shelled both military and numerous civilian objects in our country with multiple rocket launchers.

During the past day, 82 combat engagements took place. In total, the enemy carried out two missile and 19 air strikes, conducted 68 artillery attacks on positions of our troops and populated areas. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are casualties among civilians. Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were damaged.

Air strikes hit the Commissariat of Kharkiv Oblast; Seredynske Forestry in Luhansk Oblast; Terny, Rozdolivka, Druzhkivka, Avdiivka, Georgiyivka, Novomykhailivka, Kostiantynivka in Donetsk Oblast; Stavki in Mykolaiv Oblast.

More than 100 populated areas in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson and Mykolaiv oblasts were under artillery fire.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "North" on the Volynian and Polesian directions, the operational situation remains unchanged.

On the Northern and Slobozhansky directions the enemy maintains military presence in border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent our troops from redeploying to threatening sectors, increases mine-explosive obstacles along the state border in Belgorod Oblast.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Khortytsia" on the Kupyansk direction, our defenders repelled six enemy attacks near Sinykhivka, Tabayivka in Kharkiv Oblast and Stelmakhivka in Luhansk Oblast.

On the Lyman direction Ukrainian forces repelled five attacks by occupiers around the populated areas of Terny, Toriske in Donetsk Oblast and two more attacks near Makieivka in Luhansk Oblast.

On the Bakhmut direction, our defense forces repelled eight enemy attacks near Bogdanivka, Ivanivske, Klyshchyvka and Andriyivka in Donetsk Oblast.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Tavria" on the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the enemy who does not give up attempts to encircle Avdiivka. Our soldiers steadfastly maintain their defense, inflicting significant losses on aggressors. Thus, during the past day, our forces repelled six attacks in the vicinity of Novobakhmutivka, Stepole, Avdiivka and another 10 attacks near Perevomayske and Nevelskoye in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Mariupol direction, Ukrainian forces continue to hold back the enemy around Georgiyivka, Pobedy and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk Oblast, where 25 attacks were repelled.

On the Shakhtarsk direction, our defenders repelled six attacks by occupiers southeast of Vodyanyy, Zolotoye Niva and west of Staromayorskoye in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Zaporizhzhia direction, Ukrainian defense forces repelled three enemy attacks southeast of Robotinoye in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Odessa" on the Kherson direction, our defense forces continue to take measures to expand their foothold. Despite significant losses, the enemy does not give up attempts to drive out our units from occupied positions. During the past day, the enemy carried out six unsuccessful assaults on Ukrainian military positions.

At the same time, our soldiers continue active actions inflicting casualties and equipment losses on occupying forces along the entire front line.

During the past day, units of rocket troops delivered strikes against three areas of enemy personnel concentration, armament and military equipment as well as one important target.
