The XXVI Congress of the Ukrainian Football Association is taking place in the Kyiv Football House, one of the items on its agenda being "On the election of the President of the UAF."

As a result of the voting by delegates at the congress, Andriy Shevchenko was elected as the President of the Ukrainian Football Association. He received 93 votes out of 94 (Andriy Shevchenko himself, who is also a delegate to the congress, did not participate in the vote).

Born on September 29, 1976, in the city of Yagotyn, Kyiv Oblast. Married with four sons.

As a player, he played as an attacker for Kyiv's Dynamo, Italian Milan, and English Chelsea.

Captain of the Ukrainian team, which under Oleh Blokhin's leadership entered the top eight teams in the world at the 2006 World Cup.

From 2016 to 2021 — head coach of the national team of Ukraine. Under his leadership, blue and yellow broke through to Euro-2020, where they entered the top eight teams.
