To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 6:00 AM on January 4, 2024 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The six hundred eighty day of Russia's large-scale military aggression against Ukraine has begun.

During the past day, there were 58 combat encounters. In total, the enemy carried out 7 rocket and 58 air strikes, conducted 57 artillery attacks on our positions and populated areas. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are casualties among civilians. Residential buildings, other civilian and industrial infrastructure have been damaged or destroyed.

Air raids were carried out in the following locations: Zolochiv, Morohovec, Pyl'na, Kolyadyzne, Petro-Pavlivka, Kucherivka, Podoli, Ivanivka, Berestove of Kharkiv Oblast; Stelmakhivka, Novoyegorivka, Serednyanske Forest of Luhansk Oblast; Terny, Spirene, Pivnichne, Oleksandriopil', Avdiivka, Novomikhailivka, Vodyane of Donetsk Oblast; Orikhiv, Novodarivka of Zaporizhzhia Oblast; Chervoniy Mayak, Berislaw of Kherson Oblast.

Artillery shelling affected approximately 110 populated areas in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Mykolaiv regions.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "North" on the Volynian and Polesian fronts, the operational situation remains unchanged.

On the Northern and Slobozhanskyi fronts the enemy maintains military presence in border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent our troops from moving into threatening directions, increases mine-explosive barriers along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Khortytsia" on the Kupyansk front, Ukrainian defenders repelled 3 enemy attacks near Sinkyvka and east of Petro-Pavlivka, Kharkiv Oblast.

On the Lyman front the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) operations.

On the Bakhmut front our soldiers repelled 4 attacks by occupiers near Bogdanivka and Andriyivka, Donetsk Oblast.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Tavria" on the Avdiivka front, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the enemy who does not give up attempts to encircle Avdiivka. Our soldiers firmly hold their defense, inflicting significant losses on aggressors. Thus, during the past day, our forces repelled 13 attacks near Novobakhmutivka, Stepanovo, Avdiivka and another 19 attacks in the areas of Severnyy, Pervomayskyi, and Nevelskyy, Donetsk Oblast.

On the Mariupol front our defenders continue to hold back the enemy near Georgiyivka and Novomikhailivka, Donetsk Oblast, where 14 attacks were repelled.

On the Shakhtarsk front occupiers did not conduct offensive (assault) operations.

On the Zaporizhzhia front Ukrainian defenders repelled an attack by enemy forces near Robotino, Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Odessa" on the Kherson front, our defense forces continue to expand their foothold. Despite significant losses, the enemy does not give up attempts to dislodge our units from occupied positions. During the past day, the enemy carried out 9 unsuccessful assault operations.

At the same time, Ukrainian defense forces continue active actions inflicting casualties in manpower and equipment on occupying troops along the entire front line.

During the past day, our aviation delivered strikes against 12 areas of enemy personnel concentration.

Subunits of rocket forces struck an area of enemy personnel concentration, 3 air defense systems, 3 artillery systems, a radio-electronic warfare station and 2 command posts of the enemy.
