President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, speaking about the successes of our Air Force units on Christmas Eve and about the elimination of the consequences of Russian shelling in our regions.

"I wish good health to all Ukrainians!

Once again, I congratulate everyone with Christmas! And right now, on this Christmas evening, it is important to say about many of our people who are on duty day and night, during holidays and ordinary days - on rotation, at combat posts, in battle, defending our state and people.

Yesterday, the evening before Christmas, our soldiers shot down almost 30 "Shaheds", several rockets, and two more Russian military aircraft. In one evening! A total of five "Su-25s" were shot down in the week before Christmas. And this is really strong! Everyone who achieves such results in our air forces, all our anti-aircraft soldiers, mobile artillery group fighters, Air Defense units of ground troops - are simply great! Thank you to everyone! Every Russian pilot must make a clear choice for themselves whether or not to participate further in this war. Our Air Defense will only become stronger. Especially so when we receive additional systems that have already been agreed upon and F-16s.

Today, I want to thank everyone in the large team of Ukraine's State Emergency Service - all those who are dealing with the consequences of Russian shelling even these days, evenings, nights. Kherson, Donetsk, Kharkiv region, our Sumy region, our Zaporizhzhia and other regions. In particular, I want to highlight now the guys from Kherson region - Sergeant Oleg Pankevych and Master-Sergeant Maxim Sedyn - and from Donetsk region - Sergeant Oleksandr Pavlenko, Chief Master-Sergeant Denis Shysholik and civil service member of SES Volodymyr Yatsenko. Further in Kharkiv region - Sergeant Roman Pyvovarov and Master-Sergeant Pavlo Krivulya. Sumy region - Sergeants Oleksandr Kozir and Yevheniy Bondarenko, working in border areas, absolutely selfless. I thank you, guys, and all your colleagues!

I also want to thank today the entire National Police of Ukraine team - those who work for people's safety, especially in frontline areas. In particular, I highlight Senior Lieutenants of Police Ivan Zelenyak and Dmytro Teterya, serving in Kherson region, in Berdyansk city. Also Andrii Bulavin, a combat medic, working in Donetsk region. Zaporizhzhia region - Major of Police Andriy Melnyk and Vadim Akshyonenko. Thank you to all those who serve our state, serve our society!

And, of course, today it is right to thank every worker and every female worker in Ukraine's energy sector. All those who are at work now. All those who worked the whole year so that there would be no blackouts and everywhere in Ukraine there would be communication, light, heat - and all that without which normal life simply cannot exist. I thank you, our energy workers! I thank you for a bright Christmas!
