To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 6:00 on December 19, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The six hundred sixty-fourth day of Russia's large-scale military aggression against Ukraine has begun.

The enemy continues to ignore laws and customs of war, uses tactics of terror, carries out rocket and air strikes, conducts artillery attacks not only on military targets but also on numerous civilian objects in our country.

During the past day, 105 combat encounters took place. In total, the enemy carried out 1 missile and 6 air strikes, conducted 62 rocket artillery attacks on positions of our troops and populated areas. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are casualties among civilians. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were damaged.

During the night, Russian occupiers attacked Ukraine again using 2 Shahed-136/131 drones. All attacking drones were destroyed by anti-aircraft defenses.

Air strikes hit Novomikhailivka in Donetsk Oblast.

Over 140 populated areas in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Mykolaiv oblasts were under artillery fire.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "North" on the Volynian and Polesian directions, the operational situation remains unchanged.

On the Northern and Slobozhanskyi directions the enemy maintains military presence in border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent our troops from redeploying to threatening sectors, increases mine-explosive barriers along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Khortytsia" on the Kupyansk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 5 enemy attacks near Syntsove and east of Petrovka, Kharkiv Oblast.

On the Lyman direction our soldiers repelled 10 attacks by occupiers around Makieivka in Luhansk Oblast and east of Ternov, Spornykh in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 21 enemy attacks near Bogdanivka, Klyshchevka, and Andriyivka in Donetsk Oblast. Forces of Ukraine's defense continue to inflict losses on the enemy in manpower and equipment, consolidating on gained positions.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Tavria" on the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the enemy who does not give up attempts to encircle Avdiivka. Our soldiers steadfastly hold their defense, inflicting significant losses on aggressors. Forces of defense repelled 11 attacks by the enemy in the areas of Avdiivka and another 13 attacks near Severnyy, south of Tonynkoye, Pervomayskyi, and Nevelsky Donetsk Oblast.

On the Mariupol direction, forces of defense hold back the enemy near Novomikhailivka in Donetsk where 13 attacks were repelled.

On the Shakhtarsk direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) operations.

On the Zaporizhzhia direction, our defenders repelled 17 attacks by the enemy west of Novopavlovka and Robotino in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

At the same time on the Melitopol direction, forces of Ukraine's defense continue active actions to inflict losses on occupying troops in manpower and equipment, exhausting the enemy along the entire front line.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Odessa" on the Kherson direction, Ukrainian soldiers continue to hold positions on the left bank of the Dnipro, conducting counter-battery fire, inflicting artillery damage on enemy rear areas.

During the past day, forces and means of air defense destroyed 1 guided missile X-59.

Subunits of rocket troops inflicted damage to 2 remote minefields and 1 artillery system of the enemy.
