During the draw for the elite round of qualification for Euro 2024 among under-17 boys, 32 teams will be divided into eight groups. The ceremony, which will include the participation of Ukraine's national team (players born in or after 2007), will take place on December 7 and will start at 12:30 PM Kyiv time.

As a reminder, the wards of Vladimir Yezersky secured third place in their qualifying round group and advanced further based on third-place results. Before the elite round draw, blue-and-yellow have been placed in the fourth pot.

At stake are 15 spots to the final stage, which will take place from May 20 to June 5, 2024, on Cyprus. Eight group winners and seven second-place finishers with the best results from the elite round of qualification will advance to the finals based on March matches. The host country also joins them.

Elite Round Draw Procedure for Euro 2024 (U-17)

Among the 32 participants in the draw, there will be 31 teams that have overcome the qualifying round barrier and also the Netherlands team — the top-seeded team starting directly from the elite round.

Before the draw, four pots are formed based on the ranking (based on qualification statistics).

The group winners and second-place finishers will be distributed across different quartets. This rule does not apply to third-place finishers.

Based on previous decisions made by the UEFA Executive Committee and the Emergency Panel of UEFA, Ukraine and Belarus cannot be drawn into the same group.

After the draw, hosts for mini-tournaments will be determined.
